Copenhagen Optimization announced as the winner by International Airport Review Awards 2018

COPENHAGEN –  Copenhagen Optimization, the makers of the Better Airport® software solution, including Better Security which sits within the cloud-based solution, has been announced as the winner of the best Airport Security Solution by International Airport Review.

In September, voting closed on the 2018 International Airport Awards; an award launched to celebrate industry excellence. The awards were open to airports and suppliers alike and invited organizations to submit entries which showcased innovation in 11 particular categories across the airport and aviation industry.

From over 80 submissions, the awards went to the public vote and after receiving more than 12,000 votes from engaged members of the industry. Using a combination of votes received and by judging each entry on its own individual merit a shortlist was created and subsequently then opened up to a select team of industry experts to decide on the winners in each category.

Airport users of Better Security include Heathrow, Dublin, London Luton, and Geneva. Better Security is a dedicated module within Better Airport® allowing airports and staff providers to plan the all security check-point operation in a single platform. Unanticipated queues are a thing of the past as the checkpoint operation is simulated to precision ahead of the day of operation. This allows the entire team to plan the security operation all the way from budgeting to execution and to performance evaluation.

Heathrow has selected Better Security, part of Better Airport® after an extensive software solution search and a one-month trial period with both Better Airport®’s security, check-in, and baggage modules implemented across the airport.

Other category winners of the International Airport Review awards include Budapest Airport, Calgary Airport, and Hong Kong International Airport.
