Nick Beresford, operational intelligence manager, Heathrow Airport, UK and Kasper Hounsgaard, managing partner, Copenhagen Optimization, Denmark with be presenting at this year’s Passenger Terminal Expo in Paris. The presentation will take place on Day 1, 31st March at 16:30 and cover the topic of transforming operational planning.
At London Heathrow, they have been transforming their internal planning process from Excel and legacy systems to a cloud-based COTS solution. LHR are improving the check-in, security and baggage processes and aligning the entire planning process across operations. The selected solution allows them to make updates automatically and in real-time based on continuously updated information and they are now able to make better informed operational decisions based on shared, common data. This allows LHR to decrease wait times and continue to improve operations and passenger experience as LHR prepares for the future of airport experience.
Copenhagen Optimization, the makers of the Better Airport® software solution, has a partnership with Heathrow Airport. The alliance puts Better Airport®, the airport solution designed to optimize the planning, execution, and evaluation of airport operations, into the hands of hundreds of users throughout the airport and their airline partners. Heathrow has selected Better Airport® after an extensive software solution search and a one-month trial period with Better Airport®’s security, check-in, and baggage modules implemented across the airport.
