Copenhagen Optimization and Lyon Airport launch free ZENLINE security service in Terminal 1.
Passengers can now reserve free security checkpoint time slots at Lyon Airport, simplifying their travel experience. ZENLINE will be available for all flights operated at Terminal 1.
November 26, 2024 – Lyon Airport, VINCI Airports’ Innovation Center of Excellence for customer experience, in partnership with Copenhagen Optimization, has launched ZENLINE, a free virtual queuing service for passengers departing from Terminal 1. This service allows travelers to reserve a time slot for security screening, streamlining their airport experience and reducing waiting times. Lyon Airport is the first in France to offer such a service, reflecting its commitment to innovation and a stress-free travel.
Starting today, passengers can pre-book their security screening time slot at no cost via the Lyon Airport website or mobile app. ZENLINE uses smart scheduling technology to provide time slots based on flight schedules, the occupancy rate on each flight, and the passenger flows.
How ZENLINE Works
Travelers can reserve a time slot up to seven days and no later than 24 hours before their flight.
To book, passengers input their flight details and the number of travelers in their group to view available time slots. The ZENLINE reservation will be registered on the boarding card.
Upon arrival at Terminal 1, passengers proceed to the dedicated ZENLINE e-gate and security lane to access a faster, more efficient security checkpoint experience.
Key Benefits of ZENLINE
- Free and user-friendly.
- Available for all flights departing from Terminal 1.
- Time slots bookable up to seven days in advance.
- Reduces waiting times, providing a smoother, stress-free airport experience.
At the launch, Cédric Fechter, Executive Chairman at Aéroports de Lyon, stated: “We are proud to offer innovative solutions like ZENLINE that prioritize our passengers’ needs. This service gives travelers greater control over their time, ensuring a more pleasant airport experience.”
