Better Airport® becomes the Connected Operations Platform for all operational areas.
Copenhagen, Denmark: Leading UK airport operator, MAG, and its airport operations software provider Copenhagen Optimization today announced a commitment to expand their partnership agreement. This partnership will continue to combine MAG’s strategic vision of Connected Operations with Copenhagen Optimization’s experience with and ability to connect and optimize all operational areas of an airport – from curb to gate.
By end of roll-out the Better Airport software solution will manage all operational areas in MAG’s three airports: Manchester, London Stansted, and East Midlands. From check-in, security including a virtual queuing solution, and baggage handling, to the stand and gate operation. Already working together on an initial Airport Operations Plan project to forecast arrival and departure times, the roll-out of Better Stand & Gate will significantly improve the robustness and efficiency of the stand and gate allocation. The implementation work has already started, and part of the solution is already live.
The agreement provides a new, modern, and cloud-based software solution to all three of MAG’s airports. By transitioning away from traditional legacy systems, the airports are enabled to transfer insights and data from one operational area to the next, benefiting both airport efficiency and the passenger experience.
