AGS Airports Limited is the United Kingdom-based owner of Aberdeen, Glasgow and Southampton Airports. The company was formed in September 2014 by Ferrovial, a Spanish firm specialising in the design, construction, financing, operation and maintenance of transport, urban and services infrastructure, and Macquarie Group, an Australian company, composed of diversified financial services. Each own a 50% stake in the company. 

Together, the airports handle more than 13 million passengers (2019) to 128 destinations.

The Solution: Better Forecast

Better Forecast, provides detailed forecasts of passenger numbers, load factors, and presentation profiles on a flight-by-flight basis, for both arrivals and departures in AGS. Accuracy is of high priority since the forecast serves as the foundation for planning and correct staffing for Security. Since the solution is self- correcting, accuracy is constantly improving. The high level of detail and the increased forecast accuracy has improved the confidence level throughout the business and made the forecasting process easier and more time efficient for the key stakeholders.
